Some Fun Photos

Scarlet Macaws

I’m really enjoying getting to know my new camera and taking fun photos.
I love the way Leo puts together his mini gardens all over the property. He’s very creative.

I had a spider friend join me in the shower one morning. He found the wet mop in the shower to be conducive to his love of a damp, dark den. I screamed. He did nothing. I screamed some more. He scrambled to get off the mop and away from me. Yuck! (But I am thankful they eat other bugs…)

We live in a rural farming area with a dairy farm just down the road. One morning I saw a farmer carrying a brand new baby calf back to the barn while the mama followed him. So precious! Later that day we stopped and asked if we could see the calf. That was really fun for Lilyana and I.

I enjoy trying to capture as many birds as possible. When my Costa Rica bird book arrives with our shipment, I’ll be able to identify more of them. My camera is like binoculars.

The beautiful black cat is Lilyana’s. Oscar.

There is a tree here turning orange in the tops- I’m imagining it is flowering/seeding. But when I look out in the distance, it’s reminiscent of fall.

My favorite bird here to date is the Montezuma Oropendola. He is an elusive bird. Beautiful variety of sounds. I was really tickled to catch him up in the tree because its almost as though they can ‘feel’ someone looking at them and then they fly off.
